Science, Art & Literature To Go!
The Hands-On Partnership has been helping to bring traveling exhibits to communities across South Dakota since 2005. Now we are taking the basic concepts that HOP promotes one step further and making them even easier for you!
With your own HOP Backpack program, your library can:
- Involve children and their families with science and art at home!
- Increase circulation!
- Expose readers to more nonfiction books!
- Encourage family involvement with literature!
- Inspire children to learn more from your books!
Enjoy a hands-on afternoon learning to create an inexpensive backpack loan program for your library. You will learn the benefits of using literature to expose children to art and science concepts, how a backpack loan works, and how to establish and manage a backpack loan program in your library. Each participant will create a backpack to take back to their library.
Registration for the HOP workshop includes:
- Free Lunch
- $50 Stipend
YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THIS PROGRAM AND YOU MUST STAY FOR THE ENTIRE PROGRAM TO RECEIVE YOUR STIPEND
Registration is now closed.
